Celebrate 1 year Brand Global Council & World Intellectual Property Day
In keeping with World IP Day, this year we celebrate 1 year of Brand Global Council on April 26th. An opportunity to highlight the role of a global think tank for coordination, know-how exchange, brainstorming and development of collaborative initiatives and projects, as well as the resulting IP rights (patents, trademarks, industrial design, copyright). All activities aim to communicate the value of brands, creativity and innovation, to benefit from them and to make the IP a means of economic development.

World's first Certified Brands
On April 18th, the European Brand Institute presented the world's first "Certified Brand" certificates, the international seal of quality for brands based on ISO 20671, to domestic market leader ELK, Hanlo and Zenker, and the Finanzfuchsgruppe at Novomatic Forum.
Gerhard Hrebicek, President European Brand Institute, together with Bobby Calder, Kellstadt Professor of Marketing, Carlos Chanduvi, UNIDO and Elisabeth Stampfl-Blaha, Director Austrian Standards International, awarded the
"Certified Brand" pioneers Gerhard Schuller, CEO ELK Fertighaus and Christian Mattasits, Managing Director Finanzfuchsgruppe.
Future fit with international brand certification
"The Certified Brands ELK, Hanlo and Zenker are managed according to the latest international standards to keep them fit for the future.", explains ELK CEO Gerhard Schuller the decision for the certification. "Brand value has an increasing impact on the overall value of the company. A consistent and clear brand policy contributes significantly to our corporate success. BRAND GLOBAL COUNCIL Initial Meeting on World IP Day in Vienna
On April 26, 2017, the World IP Day, the first meeting of the "Brand Global Council for Value and Sustainable Growth", which was founded to promote the business and social value of brands, took place in Novomatic Forum in Vienna.
The Brand Global Council (BGC) is a global council of countries, organizations and experts with representatives from all continents covering more than 50 countries, headquartered in Vienna.
