On October 19th 2021 the BRAND GLOBAL SUMMIT gathers for the 17th time participants and partners from Austria and around the world. With our partner UNIDO we invite you to celebrate knowledge, new ideas and innovation.
This year we focus our attention on Brands for Change!
The event will showcase success stories and experiences of branding as an effective solution to support enterprises and regions, to achieve higher productivity, to diversify, and to attract investments. This yearly gathering also gives an insightful perspective on the global challenges for brands and international business, brand investments, innovations and brands; brands for resilience and growth as well as an outlook on the future challenges.
VIENNA, 1 October 2020 - The Director General LI Yong had a bilateral discussion with Gerhard Hrebicek, President of the European Brand Institute (EBI), to discuss next steps in the cooperation between UNIDO and EBI in support of branding for sustainability. In an economy that is increasingly digitalised and slowly recovers from COVID-19, brands can play an important role for an accelerated economic recovery across the globe. Expanding UNIDO’s and EBI’s branding activities globally could therefore contribute to swift economic recovery and achieve sustainable growth. On this occasion, the signed Memorandum of Understanding has been exchanged, which has been delayed due to COVID-19.
The European Brand Institute and UNIDO jointly held the 16th BRAND GLOBAL SUMMIT under the motto "BRANDS FOR SUSTAINABILITY" from September 30th to October 1st, 2020. Leading decision-makers from business, science, international organizations, politics and diplomacy from all over the globe participated in the BRAND GLOBAL SUMMIT at the Vienna International Centre.
